I received 6 quotes and Nicole scheduled the phone consultations with the 4 companies that I was interested. I was picky about the specifications and warranties, and the first company that I chose dropped the ball, but Nicole was there to follow up. That was awesome. After several weeks, I chose a company that checked all the boxes and we'll see how the installation process goes. But one thing is for certain, I found a good company with the best price point. As a comparison, I chose a 9.6Kwh system that is fully warrantied for 30 years at a cost of $25,400. The system proposed by costco was over $60,000. I chose the IQ8 system because it is wired in parallel, so if a panel dies for any reason, the remaining panels will still produce power. With a series wired system, if one panel goes out, you will lose more than 50% of the rated power generation until the panel is replaced. I wanted the 30 year warranty for the entire system, including roof penetration warranty, hardware, and labor. I also wanted a reasonable installation timeline (less than 90 days). The only company that could deliver all of the above was Solarlink. And I found them on Energy Sage.
