I strongly suggest using EnergySage if you want to go solar. Not only do they vet the companies that reach out to you through their marketplace, they also walk you through the process and provide and advisor to answer any questions you'll have. Our advisor Maria was incredibly helpful, answering questions and giving suggestions and helping to narrow down exactly what we wanted out of our solar investment. Highly recommend EnergySage and will bring them up to anyone who is considering solar.

Great resource and got several quotes from local solar contractors. Chose 1 from the list, but decided not to proceed because there was additional roof work recommended by that company outside of initial system quote that brought total costs outside of our budget. Plus fear that costs may increase without fully understanding if my electrical set up, home built in 2005, would meet current solar set up criteria. Planning to buy new home with solar built in, rather than uncertainty of costs associated with my current home. Not a reflection on EnergySage, as they did all the leg work gathering reputable contractors per user reviews and accolades.

Energy Sage provided very useful information. I highly recommend them as a resource for solar in general. We did not ultimately get solar panels, but their expertise helped us make the right decision in our case.

Using energysage really helped me find a reputable solar company. During my research about solar and to find a solar company I read many real-life horror stories and wanted to aviod those pitfalls. My son is the one who heard about energysage and directed me to it. Energysage gave me peace of mind about who I was dealing with, then after selecting 3 companies fromt he list of the best reviews, I did research on those companies myself and then narrowed the list to one. Thank you energysage for saving me from all kinds of unreputable or financially unstable companies and for the indepth information you had on each company you listed as safe. AND NONE of the companies I contacted pressured me in any way to use them. They all just stated their prices and components and let me decide what was best for me. I am very impressed that my personal information was always kept secret until I decided to give it to the company of my choice, this was also priceless.

Matt as my advisor is superb. He was able to clearly and succinctly answer the most simple of questions to explaining challenging technical concerns. With both national and local regulatory, power utility, and installer experience, Matt was key in advancing my comfort and confidence in my solar journey -- to evaluate installers, the equipment package, and their bids and contracts, and to ultimately choosing the right company that matches my needs. It was almost "easy" with EnergySage and Matt advising. Thank you.

EnergySage was instumental in helping me navigate the process of choosing a vendor for the design and installation of my solar panel and battery system. Results were easy to understand, came quickly, and loved having a barrier between myself and direct contact with multiple vendors.

Energy Sage helped me to find a good local contractor in a short period of time. It also provided me with a lot of great information to help me make my decision. I did not use the EnergySage consultant so cannot comment on how well that part of the program works. Overall, I would recommend that anyone interested in going solar use EnergySage to help find a reputable company. There are some questionable practices out there so you want to be sure you are getting the best for your investment.

I feel that this was a very important service to provide to homeowners considering to 'go solar'. It provided valuable comparative data on companies that 'produce' solar projects for consumers. The comparison data was comprehensive with regard to depth of technical experience, product information, and explaining the process of 'going solar'. The information was both deeply satisfying for more technically competent consumers as well as being easily comprehensible for moderately technically competent. I believe that some improvements could nonetheless be made. For instance, only a few companies' data were presented in comparison terms. These could be large or small, national, regional or local. I believe that it would be valuable to allow consumers to have options to choose from the different categories of scale in companies and also in geographic location. Consumers may wish to choose a very local provider as opposed to a national or regional heavyweight purely because they may have a afinity to support a local, ostensibly smaller or even newer company. Furthermore, in this chaotic period when political winds are bashing energy provision alternatives back and forth, it would be very helpful to have the site also include latest legal, financial and customary practice updates that would impact choices.

After a couple of years doing research and trying to decide if solar was right for me i entered my address on energy sage to get an estimate. What I really liked about energy sage is that all quotes and messages went right to my profile on the energy sage website and i was not contacted directly by solar companies. I was able to compare quotes side by side and only contacted the companies i considered using. I ultimately chose a company based on the final proposal presented and am looking forward to the intallation scheduled for mid may.

Going solar Installing solar panels on a 105 year old Denver bungalow is not a straightforward project. EnergySage allowed us to explore the possibility without committing initially. After some investigation as to feasibility and cost, we were able to obtain bids from multiple contractors. We ended up going with Solarwave and Steven Weaver. The project grew because we ended up converting from gas hot water to heat pump minisplits. We also had to get permission from the Denver landmark commission. Solarwave did a great job on the permitting and installation and we are looking forward to longer sunny days and lower utility bills. The rebates from the federal government, Denver and xcell certainly make this a good time to convert our house from gas to electricity.

I contacted EnergySage after reading a recommendation from the Sierra Club. I received 5 quotes within a week and after reviewing them and contacting some of them with questions and fine tuning their proposals, I signed up and installation will begin next month.

Very happy with EnergySage and the EnergySage process. I was able to narrow the proposals down to three and then after talking with those three I had two that came out to the house to confirm their proposals. EnergySage had a nice summary of the proposals and good additional information on the different components, in addition to the reviews of the installers. The EnergySage rep was helpful in answering my questions. I ended up with a 10kW system plus three Enphase batteries and have been very happy with the sytem so far and got my first 'Nothing Due' bill from Eversource the other day. The batteries were primarily to provide whole house emergency backup (ended up similar cost as a generator - there are some things to consider with each). I haven't had a major power outage yet but I tested it for a half a day and ran what I needed to. The couple times the power when out for a short period we didn't even know the power went out. The Enphase system has a great integrated system for the use of the batteries and the solar system. One warning is my local Town ended up requiring a room around the batteries in my basement for fire protection. My installer handled it but it was an unexpected hassle. Different Towns may have different requirements so be sure to ask. I signed up for Eversource's Conected Solutions Program which pays me to use my batteries during peak electrical use during the summer. I hadn't planned on that but it was a nice bonus to help pay back the system. Its limited to certain areas and certain batteries so be sure to check. I've also signed up for Renewable Energy Credits, which was a bit of a hassle to sign up for and is not a lot of money but again will help with payback. Overall I am happy with EnergySage and my solar project.

Energy Sage proved an excellent reference for finding a solar company local to our area. While we didn't need to talk directly with the Energy Sage representive, she stayed in regular contact with us to make sure we knew we could talk with her if the need arose. The company we selected for our installation, Solar Power Pros, was from the set of contractors who reached out to us via Energy Sage.
