I DON'T recommend Energy Sage. After 18 months and over $40,000 in fees the "fully vetted" solar contractor they recommended to me has not installed a single panel. Don't trust them - their "service" is designed to put your money into their shady business partners' pockets.

Our experience with Sunvena Solar was enjoyable and rewarding. The communication and installation process was excellent and they were very responsive to our questions and concerns. We look forward to a long term relationship.

The companies EnergySage represents are the nationwide independents who rely on a loose network of subcontractors to do the local install. Very disfunctional.

Sunergy is the company we contracted with, if I could give them NEGATIVE 5 stars I would most definitely. I could not be more disappointed I wish I went with a different company. It took 9 months for them to get around to installing the system. I signed a contract August 5 2025 it is now May 6 2026. They lied to me when they said they had everything they needed to start right away, they dragged there feet drawing up the plans, having to revise them several times to get them to be good enough to get a permit and also approved by the power company. This took weeks and this company was in no hurry ever. The contract said they got a pay installment after plan approval, they said they passed and I made a payment then I got a notice from the power company that said they rejected the plans, the lied. They are quick to ask for money even before they earned it. BEWARE, THEY WILL SAY ANYTHING!!! When it was time to get me scheduled, they couldn't find anyone to do the job locally. they got in a dispute with the previous installers and took there time finding someone else to do the job. Then when I was supposed to have it installed on mid November that was canceled. Then it was suppose to be December 30th they canceled because of weather. It didn't rain. So I lost out on my $13000 TAX rebate becauce these guys couldn't get there act together. After the first of the year they told me they could start right away, they still took 4 more months. They finally found someone to do the install, and then they had to send someone to redo the wires in my fusebox because the first time they didn't get it right and the cover plate on the fusebox did not fit. I had to take time off work to be home to meet the fire marshall, they had no one who could be here. The Marshall failed that inspection because there was supposed to be safety labels that they forgot. They finally stumbled there way to the finish but this was the worst experience anyone could have, no one should use Sunergy to install anything. Energysage is not the best site for reviews, Redit is more real. Read other websites for well rounded reviews. But remember this one.

We went through Energysage thinking it was looking out for our best interest. As it turned out that was not the case at all. 1. Energysage made two claims on its website when we first contacted them in 2024. One claim was that they are a small company which is not true since they are part of Siemens Energy which is a multinational company. The second claim was that the service they offer can save 20% on a solar installation. This also was untrue since we got estimates from both Energysage solar installers and individual installers. The pricing was all the same within a 5 percent range. There was no 20% savings. In the end it may have actually cost us more since the Energysage solar contractor we hired later raised his price twice. 2. When our contractor kept increasing his price after we signed the initial contract we contacted the Energysage Senior Energy Advisor looking for assistance and trying to understand the bidding process on thier website. He claimed he called the contractor but they did not return his call. That was the extent of his effort to help us with a contractor that Energysage claims it vetted and recommended out of the four bids we received through them. We made further attempts to call the advisor leaving messages but he no longer returned our calls. 3. Energysage is a for profit company and they are paid by the solar installers to be listed on their website. They do not look out for the consumers best interests. Our advice is: Don't use Energysage.

I also relied on Energy Sage to select Solar Optimum as my vendor for my solar and battery system and it has been an unmitigated disaster. From the misleading delivery dates to the absolutely awful communications and poor project management processed to lack of customer focus all the way to the final turn up, It was the worst experience I've ever had with any vendor providing services to my home. I'm truly disappointed in energy sage for not weeding out this poor performers or at least giving us a "heads-up" that there are issues with key vendors like Solar Optimum. I hope that no one else has to endure what I went through.

They recommended IntegrateSun and the whole experience was very negative. What was promised as a 90-day installation turned into an 18-month nightmare. We contracted this company for a 12 kWh solar system with two Tesla Powerwall 3 units. From the start, the project was plagued by incompetence and delays. Permits were filed incorrectly—multiple times—with basic typos and application errors that any professional should have caught. Inspections failed because they either submitted the wrong paperwork or simply didn’t show up. They also damaged our electrical panel during installation and never properly fixed it. To make matters worse, they installed outdoor junction boxes with open holes exposed to rain—an obvious safety and code issue. After all of this, we were hit with surprise charges to mount the batteries, something that absolutely should have been included in the original scope of work. There was no transparency, no accountability, and no urgency to correct their mistakes. We were excited to invest in a system using Tesla products, but this installer made the entire experience exhausting and stressful. Eighteen months of delays, failed inspections, sloppy paperwork, unsafe workmanship, and unexpected charges is completely unacceptable. I would strongly advise anyone considering this company to look elsewhere.

I used Energy Sage to select my Solar Vendor and deeply regret it. The project is 5 months overdue and still not completed. The contractor started blowing me off after the third installment payment. Energy Sage has been untimely in their response to my complaints, and unable to help resolve my issues.

Our family is super happy with our PV system from Sunspear Energy. We have a $32/month bill and power when the grid goes down is awesome.

Wanted a ballpark free quote, and thought they'd give me one. Nope! They want my email first. Now they say I've opened an account? Did not want that, I wanted a quote! Misleading operations and predatory vibes. Wouldn't be surprised if I get loads of solicitations about solar now. Good grief.

It was a huge mistake to trust aEnergy Sage with a referral. I signed a contract with Integrate Sun 10 months ago and am still waiting for installation. The materials have finally been delivered but I have not gotten an instqallation date yet. I live at high elevation and may soon be snowed in for the winter which would make installation vry difficult. There has been one delay after another. Several months ago I contacted by Energy Sage advisor for help moving things alongs. She said she would talk to the company and get back to me. I never heard back. The contract with Integrate Sun specified that installation is to be comnpleted with 3 months of receiving all permits. It is over 3 months now. I have worried for months about whether the work will ever be completed. I am concerned that the Federal tax credit will expire before the system is operational, costing me $20K. Energy Sage needs to stop referring people to Integrate Sun. I read good things about Energy Sage and thought it would be okay to let them vet solar companies instead of doing it myself. That was a mistake to trust Energy Sage. I have lost countless hours of sleep over this.

I really enjoyed working with Brendan at Energy Sage. He was knowlegable, enganging, and transparent in helping me make a decision on a solar provider. I would highly recommend Engery Sage if you're considering a residential solar installation!

I was very disappointed in this company. I trusted their recommendation, assuming they carefully vetted the companies they referred their clients to. The company I hired wasted seven weeks of my time and when I researched them discovered they had multiple complaints against them with the BBB. Energy Sage should have done their homeand not sent clients to this company.

EnergySage was easy to use and got me multiple quotes. Those quotes were easy to read and compare. They also made it easy to communicate with vendors to customize quotes.

This is a great platform to find solar and battery backup installers in your area, get quotes, and not have to worry about giving out your personal information. I already had solar panels on my house, but wanted to find a good installer for a battery backup system, and EnergySage made it very easy to get quotes from more than half a dozen installers in my area. I ended up finding a great installer with a very competitive price through this platform. I'd highly recommend it to anyone considering solar and/or battery backup.
