I you live in small and medium towns or rural areas, EnergySage is awesome. It breaks the monopoly that local solar companies have on your market. I got seven quotes, three on EnergySage and four local. The local companies weren't even in the ballpark in regards to the size of system needed and the price. They didn't even know or care if my home was north-south facing or east-west facing. the winning bid assigned an engineer to design my system using very modern CAD modeling. You're not going to get any of that with a small town solar installer.
