Two solar providers would not quote me on a purchased system, only on a leased system. Each said it "works out better". It does work out better, for them. I got a number of referrals from EnergySage, and they quoted me on a purchased system. The quotes were WAY less than what they quoted for a leased system. I got three low quotes that were similar, so I figured that was probably the "correct" quote, which is a fair price to me and a fair profit for the solar company. I selected one of the companies which was referred by EnergySage.
