Kevin Flaherty
On Wednesday May 10 I ordered a rebuild kit for the lever group of my aging Astoria Lever Commercial Espresso Machine. This kit is sold as a kit, not as a collection of individual parts. I wanted to order 2 kits but the website informed me that there was only one kit available. Fair enough. I ordered the one kit that was available. On Wednesday May 10 at 1424 I received an email from EspressoParts confirming my order. The email indicated that “we're getting your order ready to be shipped. We will notify you when it has been sent.” and that “Standard operating hours are Monday- Friday (8am -4pm PST) There is no shipping on weekends. FedEx Express Service orders will generally ship out within 2-3 business days after the order is placed. Please be aware that all other orders may not ship for 3-5 business days.” This detailed information that is not provided on the ordering form. 5 business days for meant my order should be shipping on or before May 17. I do not know how it takes 3-5 business days to ship a part that is supposedly in stock. Regardless, it took until the afternoon of May 25 for the in stock kit to be shipped. 15 calendar days. The actual shipping transit took a matter of 8-9 days to come to my remote small town, something that I had anticipated and which I find acceptable. But the extra week is hard to understand and makes thinking of ExpressoParts as my first choice for parts for my business. Thanks
