Aesthetically our new mugs are very nice and they definitely keep our coffee hot a little longer than other mugs we own. The mugs however are a little small, making it a little difficult to tell if the heat retention is simply due to less coffee being drunk more quickly or attributed to the mug. It would be nice to have a mug a little larger. With these mugs I've had to go from 2 mugs of coffee in the mornings to 4 refills to get the same amount of java.
