New caves are much more durable than before, but the carabiners are no match to the first generation. I’ve changed three lanyards with new carabiners within several months. It’s a thing you can’t rely on, and I don’t like that. You should provide an option to order the sturdy first type of carabiners. I’d have bought it even with double cost.
