Purchased a brake like switch. The box looked battered but I was in a rush so assumed it was just the box. When I got home, the switch showed signs that it was used and also had a piece broken. I took it back and got a replacement. The guys were very apologetic and provided a new one which I checked was fine before leaving. Turned out I didn’t need it in the end so returned it unopened. The guy who processed the return was miserable and unhelpful. He asked for a receipt, I told him I purchased it online and didn’t have a receipt and forgot the one I previously got, at home. I offered him my vehicle reg but he declined (his colleagues previously accepted it so not sure why he couldn’t). He seemed uninterested and unhelpful. I had to suggest if my email confirmation would suffice and he mumbled and shrugged him shoulders. Turned out it was fine. He hardly spoke throughout the ‘ordeal’ but thankfully the refund was processed. Most staff I’ve encountered at the Hayes ECP are fine, helpful and friendly. I’m guessing that one fella was having a bad month.
