Everpresent converted an old video from 1984 to digital format, preserving the content and my mother’s and sister’s voice narrating it, while reducing the sound of the old reel to reel tapes. Prior to sending it to them I had watched it on a VCR. The sound of the reel to reel they had copied it from at home nearly totally drowned out my mother’s and sister’s voice. It was wonderful to hear their voices much clearer with the reel to reel sound diminished. The colors had clearly been affected by the passage of time but the content of my parents, my 7 siblings and I from 1963 to 1984 was preserved. Holidays and vacations and birthdays, everyday life and special occasions. It’s preserved for all of us to watch like we did when we were kids. It’s a treasure and I’m grateful to all of the Everpresent staff for that.
