From start to finish, the experience was amazing. My friend and I (both in our early 50s) did the trail to Choquequirao Trek (which included Machu Picchu). The communication of details and logistics were quick, top notch, and they provided exactly what they said they would. This was my first time taking an organized trip like this (I normally handle all of the logistics and planning myself) and they took care of EVERY detail. If you are fortunate enough to get Flavio as your tour guide, you are in for a treat. He is a wealth of information about the trail, site history, local birds, and photography. I am a much better photographer now because of him. He motivated me to keep going when the trail became difficult. Such a positive personality! The rest of the team (Nicholas, Fernando, and Victor) were professional and efficient and I am amazed at their resiliency on the trail. The food they cooked on the trail was amazing...I think I gained weight! I chose them because they are committed to the empowerment of local women and treating their porters ethically. I saw that in action during the trip. I can't recommend Evolution Treks highly enough!
