“It was a trip of a lifetime. And so much of it was due to the terrific planning and hard work of the Evolution Trek team. This was in all aspects of the trip - prompt and thoughtful responses to emails, showing up five minutes early for every meeting, perfect recommendations for restaurants and hotels, taxis ready for transport, etc. We really had no problems at all. We went on the Choquequirao Trek / Manchu Picchu. It was incredible. Grueling at times, but so worth it. Nothing like having an entire Incan ruin to yourself. Literally, it was just my buddy, our guide and me. Our guide, Flavio, was simply perfect. He blended the right amount of hiking wisdom, with history, botany, and bird knowledge to keep us entertained, but not overwhelmed. The support team of Fernando, Victor, Nicholas were great - starting with the coffee before sunrise, to the enormous/ delicious meals, all the while hustling through the same trails as us carrying supplies and tending the team of horses. I highly recommend Evolution Trek.”

“From start to finish, the experience was amazing. My friend and I (both in our early 50s) did the trail to Choquequirao Trek (which included Machu Picchu). The communication of details and logistics were quick, top notch, and they provided exactly what they said they would. This was my first time taking an organized trip like this (I normally handle all of the logistics and planning myself) and they took care of EVERY detail. If you are fortunate enough to get Flavio as your tour guide, you are in for a treat. He is a wealth of information about the trail, site history, local birds, and photography. I am a much better photographer now because of him. He motivated me to keep going when the trail became difficult. Such a positive personality! The rest of the team (Nicholas, Fernando, and Victor) were professional and efficient and I am amazed at their resiliency on the trail. The food they cooked on the trail was amazing...I think I gained weight! I chose them because they are committed to the empowerment of local women and treating their porters ethically. I saw that in action during the trip. I can't recommend Evolution Treks highly enough!”

“Truth to their word. I chosed this company after reading multiple reviews on the internet. Many companies say to do the same work but only this one striked me as truthful and I was right. They gave me the best tour of my life, it was very organized, food was delicious and guide was great . Above all was their treatment to their workers, they treated them like family. While on the tour, I saw another company that claims to do the same but it was a lie, their porters ate different food and didn't have the right gear, not even to sleep they had good tents. Dont let the other companies with a lot more budget for their ads fool you. Evolution Treks Peru is the right place for you, truthful to what they say and do.”

“Wow! We just got back from our four day trek on the Inca trail and I am a 51 year old woman. While I am fairly active, this was tough, but fantastic! I went with my husband and three kids (15,18,22) and it was an amazing family trip. Our guide Aibon was a true blessing, from giving us little tips of when to wear a poncho, amazing education and super knowledgeable, and patient (as I felt I was always the slowest and I was constantly wanting to be sure I was on time - which I was). He really brought the Incan civilization alive. It was an honor to have shared a part of Peru culture with him. Guillermo was our chef and wow- the most amazing food and I am serious- amazing- soup every night which was so soothing and delicious and then an entire delicious meal to follow. That guy did things that will rock your world in the middle of nowhere on propane. Tea times happened right before dinner where you would go over questions, learning, and just conversations. And the popcorn is something that I will remember forever! The level of detail was amazing of the entire staff! Having a company that values it’s porters, pays them, and is key, those guys (and women in the case of evolution) are a work ethic level I have never seen before they need to be treated fairly for what they do- with zero complaint. If you are thinking about this trip you can’t go wrong with evolution- really impressed with the attention to detail, the education, and the value for the entire family- it was my marathon and it was amazing on so many levels. We have done some other group trips- road scholar, tour radar (I think that was it outback australia) and never was it as good as this tour- Aibon was key and Guillermo is definitely some sort of magician. The Inca trail is the family trip of a lifetime Don’t miss out while you can still do it!”

“Aiben our guide was amazing. Kind supportive informative funny patient and a joy to be with . He was essential for the success of our trek. Guillermo our chef was amazing. Ceviche on first day and amazing creations after we’re beyond belief. The organization of the porters was amazing. The office was great. The highest recommendation.”

“We used Evolution Treks over Thanksgiving week 2019. My family of 8 completed the 5 day trek. I did the first day of that trek with them and finished with the 2 day Short Inca Trail and Machu Picchu. Miguel was great to accommodate late changes in the intenerary with great options to make it an awesome trip. Good pace, good food, great team and very knowledgeable about the Inca Empire. We have been fortunate enough to have traveled all over the world with many different adventures. This was a bucket list and Evolution Treks was top notch. A great way for my niece to turn 22 and for me to turn 60 on this trip.”
