This was our first time in Aspire Lounge, having previously visited Escape. Aspire is a lovely lounge to sit in, and fantastic views out. But, sadly it was too much of a bun fight for food. It was a busy day when we were there, but there was only a single waiter on the bar (who was very professional and friendly) which meant there was a lengthy queue most of the time we were there. Standing queueing is hardly what you want when you're supposed to be relaxing before your flight, after just doing the same getting through passport control. Sadly the food situation was worse. Unlike the Escape lounge, where you are brought 1 x breakfast item per person for your stay, the Aspire lounge is as many as you like. Sounds great, I admit, but it doesnt seem to work for me. Firstly this was not clear, so I queued (at the bar) to ask where I got a bacon roll from, to be told that there was none left and some would be out soon. So I stood and waited..again. After a while I gave up waiting, but did then see people with bacon rolls, so I got up, but there were none left again. This was a pretty consistent routine throughout the 2.5 hours we were there for, eventually managing to (pracically sprint to) get a bacon roll, but never managed to get a sandwich when they started coming out at midday (our stay was 10:30am - 12:45). there simply wasnt enough food for the amount of people, who were piling up sandwiches on their plates (understandable when you can have as much as you like).
Lovely place, lovely staff, lovely views, but I'm afraid, for me, I'd rather have a more relaxing lounge prior to future flights. Perhaps this was an off day, but given the price we'd paid, I'd say it wasnt worth it - that day.
