After visiting the Aspire lounge at Newcastle on a number of occasions we were very
disappointed with both the service and the food availability, especially as we recommended this to our friends who were travelling with us.
We arrived at 10.35am on Boxing Day to be told they were changing over to the lunch menu. We sat a short while and eventually at about 11.15am some soup became available. Unfortunately three of the party of five did not like the soup but at this point we did not feel that was too much of a problem as we had been told that more food was on its way. In-fact we had to ask four times if any other food, other than soup, crisps and olives were available. We kept being told sandwiches were coming out but they did not materialize until 12.50pm and give that we had been in the lounge over two hours and our flight was boarding at 13;00 , this was appalling.
We were not the only parties complaining. We are extremely annoyed that we recommended this to our friends and it was not a good experience therefore we will not be giving good reviews about this Lounge on social media. In these times of austerity this was money wasted.
