Staff were the highlight - friendly, chatty and approachable. They kept the tables cleared and surfaces wiped. Having been to several other lounges at a variety of airports but never this one, I would have appreciated being oriented when I arrived.
The food is mediocre at best. I think I had a muffin (prepackaged) and that was it. No labels on anything for nutritional/allergen information.
The soft drinks - I had never seen anything quite like it - lots of mixers (ginger ale, tonic etc), but all others (cola, lemonade, juice) had to be poured from larger cartons and bottles. Felt a bit like a house party. Free pour, self-serve spirits were great (for obvious reasons).
Half of the plug sockets weren't functioning on my visit, all along one wall, leading many people to be crowded around the points that were working to charge their devices and work etc. There was no warning or explanation for this - I tried plenty of sockets (with staff looking on) before another customer told me.
The lounge has great potential, but needs a total refurb. Stains on seats, chipped paint on fridges, shattered glass at the desk...all cheapened the feel of the lounge.
Good value for money - but I'm afraid to say there are far better lounges with better food and drink selection for only a few pounds more.
