I was a lady travelling unaccompanied to Cyprus.
I arrived at 7 am on a Sunday morning hoping for a warm welcome, some nourishment, a comfortable seat and a pleasant bathroom.
The receptionist was unbelievably slow, using one finger on the keypad, and the waitress was surly. The food was acceptable but the worst problem for me was the lack of bathroom facilities.
When I asked the receptionist where the toilet was he directed me to cross through duty free shopping to the airport general toilets. I have never before been to an airport lounge, anywhere in the world, that didn't have a private bathroom facility. I had to collect all my luggage and coat and leave the Lounge just to visit the toilet.
I don't know why I bothered paying for lounge access and will certainly not do it again at Birmingham
