We booked the LHR terminal 5 lounge due to a 4 hour connection time between flights. The lounge advertises a range of continental lagers, amongst other things, which is one of the reasons we booked it (we don't drink wine). On arrival, the one draft lager was out of order. We asked the barman and were told the only lager available was Tiger - and that there was only 1 bottle of this left!?! This was the extent of the 'range' of lagers.
I also asked for some crisps and was told by a member of staff that his colleague was dealing with this. I stood for 10 minutes waiting for crisps but they didn't appear, so I finally gave up.
As there was no lager, I went to the bar for a soft drink - only to find that the self-serve Pepsi machine was also out of order. There were people queuing and standing at the bar (lounge was over-full) and so I gave up. We ended up leaving early and going to an airport bar for a drink.
We did complain whilst in the lounge via the Aspire live chat on the website and were told the manager was dealing with the lack of lager etc. they promised us an email the next day - and we're still waiting a week later.
In short, a complete waste of money, save your cash and use it in an airport bar or restaurant instead. This lounge is a shambles.
