It wasn't great from the off. Firstly we had to queue for 10-15 minutes when we arrived as there was a maybe 10 people in front of us, even though we had pre-booked. The person behind the desk couldn't have looked more miserable if he'd tried and was less than helpful or welcoming. When we did get in, the place smelt of body odour - alot! There were very few seats, or free tables. Any that were free were covered in plates, cups, glasses, empty food wrappers, and half eaten food. There were way too many tables and chairs in a confined space. Some people were looking like they were camping there for hours or even days, not waiting a hour or two for a flight.
To be fair the drinks and the snacks were good, but when you are eating/drinking in a sweaty box the shine is taken off a little. The cleaning staff were nice, but just overrun and there wasn't nearly enough of them.
The whole place just felt like it needed some management, getting people to take their feet off chairs, stop speaking on speaker phones out loud, moving chairs back to where they should be, managing the queues better, having more staff customer facing etc...
