Before my visit I had a booking from last year I hadn't used and dealt with Phillip at customer services who was really helpful and I cant praise highly enough, especially when I made an error booking in a friend which he effectively resolved for me. The lounge is OK but the food was left un replenished for some time and bar staff quite openly criticised and bad mouthed the kitchen staff in front of customers stating that they were "being useless as usual" when I gave a look to the bar maid who had pulled someone over and in front of customer said" can you sort them out, they are doing nothing and its doing my head in". Not what I expected. Tables were left full of plates and glasses for quite some time also. Will use a different lounge on my next visit. I paid for 2 people last October and due to monarch going bust didn't use the booking. This is the booking that was swapped for this and while I am appreciative of this I paid for a friend too and don't feel it was worth it.
