Well, where do I start? I always try to book into the lounge for a relaxing start to my holiday, so I always book well in advance, as recommended "because there could be limited availability".....BUT, imagine how I felt when I turned up before my recent trip on the 15th September, to be told it was over-booked, and very overcrowded, so it was suggested that I go down to the airport lounge, and I would be contacted when a table for four was available. As I had paid in advance for four people, I refused, and stood around waiting, not for a table, but even for just individual seats.
We didn't get there early, about two and a half hours before our flight, so would have expected better service, and although the receptionist was very pleasant and polite, the queues that formed after we arrived obviously felt the same, judging by some of the comments made. I have to say, I have used the lounges on many occasions, but after this experience I wonder if doing so in the future is really worth it.
