The irony of being offered a free bottle of champagne in return for my review is explained below.
This review would have been lower had it not been for the waiter, Melo. His ‘can-do’ attitude and his spirit in adversity was to be admired. I had pre-ordered a bottle of champagne which wasn’t available on arrival. Melo did try and tempt us with quantity (2 bottles of Prosecco) but we wanted the quality. So 9 days ago I requested a refund and I still haven’t had a response or even acknowledgement of my request.
The place was jam-packed and, despite Melo’s attempts, it didn’t still quite feel like the special start we were hoping for. A lack of ice, small glasses and short of food options all means I expect, with the choice of lounges on offer, I’ll be trying a different one next time.
