Malcolm
During our visit the lounge was quite full not only with adult travellers but also families with young children. This in itself is not a problem providing that the children are well behaved and not running around the lounge making noise which is what happened in our case. Obviously the parents were responsible but the lounge staff did not seem to want to intervene and didn't take any action. In my opinion the idea of using an 'Executive' lounge is to start your holiday with a quiet, relaxing time before your flight. In addition, the availability of unlimited alcohol was abused by several passengers who were downing spirits at 8 in the morning as if they were on a night on the town. This resulted in them being noisy and rowdy, trying to draw my wife and I into conversations which we were not interested in and having to seek alternative seats in order to gain some peace. I am not a prude or kill-joy and wouldn't want to see families prevented from using the lounge nor for alcohol to be unavailable. However, I think that staff should be firmer with any noisy or inappropriate behaviour and the amount of alcohol available per passenger limited. I could have saved myself £40.00 and sat on the main concourse which would probably have been less stressful.
