I always use the executive lounge facilities in every airport I visit and have booked Liverpool's John Lennon many times but I was very disappointed on this occasion, firstly I always found the staff very friendly and good humoured, this time check in was a trial as the person on the desk did not seem to be up to speed with the mobile check in but he was pleasant which is more than be said of the catering staff who I found to be very rude and unhelpful, the hot food dishes were empty when we arrived at approximately 2pm and when I politely asked if they where going to replenish I was informed curtly 'if I could just wait' the dishes were not cleared from the empty tables which made the lounge look chaotic and usually the staff kept a check on the food supply but not on this occasion as I noticed quite a few people commenting on empty dishes, the lady on the bar on the other hand was really nice even though she was under pressure from some overindulged patrons, she still had time for a smile, the food was not as good as usual 3/5 but I had what I needed, I will still use again, it's a shame though as if this was my first visit I doubt if I'd think it was value for money.
