For first time, I spent a couple of hours in the Aspire Lounge at LHR T5. It cost £35. I would put the experience down as average. Inferior to the BA lounge: smaller, less variety in food. Having booked this I was offered an upgrade to business class by BA for £59. Had I not already paid for Aspire I would have taken that. The guy on the front desk was a bit miserable and seemed to take an eternity to work out whether people could get in or not. Long thin lounge with comfortable seating. Staff are generally a bit disinterested. In common with a lot of other lounges (BA included), the USB connections at the seat have low power and only offer slow charging. Why? Food is OK. More finger food than anything. Reasonable selection of wines, though again, could do with a happier bar tender. Would I go there again? Not sure. For £35 I think I could while away my time at a public restaurant and bar just as easily.
