We used Exoticca for the first time last November on a trip to Peru and have to say that everything went completely to plan and we had a really enjoyable trip. The guides were all exceptional and really informative and overall we were happy with our holiday and thought it was good value. As a result we booked a further trip to Asia next month. However, so far we have been disappointed in the level of Customer support post booking. We chose a flight that was to arrive in Vietnam in the evening, therefore didn't opt for the early check in that was offered as an extra. Unknown to us, Exoticca later changed our flight to one that arrives early morning. We were not told of this but noticed it when our itinerary was (quietly) updated. When we asked Exoticca if we could book the early check in they simply said NO. Because there were "only" 28 days left until the trip. When I explained that it was their fault that we were in this situation they essentially called me a liar and said that the flights had not been changed and either way they weren't prepared to help. We were told to just wing it. Subsequently it took a single e mail from my wife to the hotel to arrange the early check in - and at a fraction of the price that Exoticca would have charged. Exoticca are more than happy to argue with us over extended e mails but have no interest in ensuring that we have somewhere safe and secure to rest up in a foreign country after almost a full day of travel. We are committed to the Asia trip so will take stock afterwards as to whether we will even consider using this shower again. At the moment they have an awful lot of catching up to do to retain our business in the future.
