“I have just returned from a 17 day, 14 night tour of China taking in Beijing, Xi'an, Yangshuo, Guillin and Shanghai. This was my first time with Exoticca and will not be my last. Everything from the cost to the transfers to and from the airport was excellent. The hotels, the Guides, the excursions and my group were all first class. I did have a problem with my return flights and this was outwith Exoticca's control which was not helpful and some of the flights offered were not practical so would recommend going for direct flights even if they are more expensive at the time. Apart from that everything was excellent.”

“Just returned from the Peru, Ecuador, The Amazon and The Galapagos trip. A great experience creating many great memories. In a touring group of 16 with British, Americans and Canadians. Very well organised with Exoticca personnel always there to navigate and steer us - who may have been a local tour provider but they had been selected well and were extremely knowledgeable. We chose “Superior” accommodation which we were very pleased with. I feel some of the internal flight connections could have been better organised, a couple of occasions we had 9 or 10 hour travel days for a one hour flight, simply because of local traffic issues and waiting at airports. The couple of evening meals that are additional options ended up being very hurried as traffic in both Peru and Ecuador delayed return to hotels after the excursion during the day - these evening meal options I felt did not give the experience that was sold. Overall a thoroughly enjoyable trip. The guides were excellent and all the locals we met were charming and friendly.”

“Our trip to South Korea was well worth the cost and very good value for money. We were kept informed up to the time of our departure of updates to our booking so we had no concerns. Our guide was a lovely young guy who stayed with us for the whole of our trip. The only issue we had was that his pronunciation of English words was not always easy to interpret. The itinerary was a perfect mix of history and environmental. We particularly liked the visit to Palace on the first day where we arrived in good time to see the changing of the guard and their traditional and colourful uniforms. Our guide should have shown us where to stand to get a good view of the ceremony long before he did so by the time he did, the crowd was already 4 to 5 people deep and being short, it was difficult to get a good view which was a little disappointing. We also enjoyed the visit to the Wetlands, the traditional village and the Bamboo garden as well as visiting Temples and Buddhas and two cable car trips! We were really pleased that we paid for the optional trip to the DMZ zone as well as it was one of the highlights of our visit as was a walk round the street market! This is an amazing trip ideal for anyone looking to learn about the history, traditions and environment of South Korea.”

As a solo traveller I was a little apprehensive but I need not have worried as everything went smoothly from flights to hotel transfers. The app was brilliant, really detailed and informative as well as easy to use. It was so handy to have all the information (including bus/cable car passes) in one place and at the touch of your finger tips. I booked the Charm package and was most impressed with the level of accommodation and quality of meals included.
