This was our fourth tour with Exoticca, and once again, they delivered an exceptional experience. We were a group of 3 adults, part of a 15-member tour group, all English-speaking, and we thoroughly enjoyed the Essence of Korea itinerary. ✅ Tour Highlights: All airport transfers were punctual and well-organized. We had a VIP limousine-style luxury coach for the entire tour – spacious and comfortable. Our guide, Nammin, was outstanding – a true professional. His English was excellent, and he was knowledgeable, helpful, humorous, and managed time perfectly. He shared insightful stories about Korean history, gave useful shopping and sightseeing tips, and made our trip even more enjoyable and the coach driver was excellent too. All hotels were modern 4-star properties in city areas, except one which was by the beach in a more remote location – still a lovely experience. The modern toilets with multiple smart features were a pleasant surprise! 🍜 Food & Culture: We had 5 lunches included, which was a great way to try authentic Korean cuisine. South Korea felt very safe, and we were impressed by how clean, polite, and helpful the locals were. Uber taxis are cheap, and the transport system is efficient. Great shopping, especially for cosmetics and skincare – Olive Young stores are everywhere and offer quality products at great prices. Korean Ginseng tea was a fantastic discovery – I bought some at the market and duty-free, and it truly gave me a boost of energy! 🦟 Travel Tip: The only suggestion would be to check the weather before your trip and use mosquito/insect repellent daily when outdoors. There were no insects in the hotels, but we did get bitten while exploring outside. Due to a long flight, it is better to stay one night extra before the tour starts to avoid jet legs / any flights delay or cancellation problems so we do not miss the tour etc. 🌏 Final Thoughts: Having checked Gate 1 and Europamundo tours websites, we feel that Exoticca offers excellent value for money in comparison. South Korea reminded us a lot of Japan – very organized, clean, and safe. We highly recommend this tour and hope our experience helps future travellers!
