Expedia engages in consumer fraud and…
Expedia engages in consumer fraud and failure to provide / apply credits, and tries to book you more expensive flights when speaking to Representatives.
do your homework and book through reliable trustworthy entities.
I had a credit that was guarantee me from a price difference in a previous booking. I conversed with several reps over time and was assigned a case number for my credit and told all I had to do was call and it would be applied to a future booking. this was a total lie. the representative who was an overseas operator, probably India, first stated she could not find my credit which I had previously been assigned a case number and had screenshots of all the conversations. then I was on hold for over an hour and a half in various 15 minutes increments wile she screwed around trying to figure it out. once she finally got back and said she had the credit I gave her the flight information and she told me that the flight was not available even though I was looking at it and all I had to do was purchase it. eventually I got so frustrated I hung up and bought the tickets without the credit. with a little digging I found a point of contact for Expedia customer operations. I then called my State attorney general and discuss the issue and they stated there was grounds for a class action consumer fraud lawsuit and all I had to do was file a case. I then wrote Expedia and threatened them with a class action lawsuit... within 12 hours I was issued the credit directly back onto my credit card. should you have problems with Expedia applying credits, (they have quite a history of consumer fraud issues) contact your state's attorney general. for resolutions use the points of contact provided here.
