From the initial contact with Ruth at Far & Wild it was very clear that this is a business that really listens to and cares for its customers. The communication all the way though the process from choosing to booking and the subsequent comms leading up the start of our holiday was flawless. We had an amazing 5-day safari at Garonga MCH in the Makalali Game Reserve in South Africa. A real hidden gem we would never have come across without Ruth’s knowledge. We followed this up with a 4-night stay in Cape Town. We arrived at our hotel in Cape Town and immediately knew that we had made a mistake in choosing this particular roost and that this was not the hotel for us. No fault on F&Ws part as they had followed our brief and we choose the hotel, but it just wasn’t right for many reasons I won’t detail here. As we had also got engaged at Garonga the comedown was, for us, huge. We rang the emergency UK number, at what would have been 4pm on Sunday UK time, and Alistair answered immediately. He listened, empathised, understood and said they would help us to change hotels. I had a message from Ruth first thing Monday morning with half a dozen different options. By 5pm on Monday we were nicely ensconced in a wonderful new hotel that suited us perfectly and enabled us to finish our trip in style. Amazing service! We will be using F&W to research and book our honeymoon without doubt!
