“Had an absolutely amazing 3 weeks in Chile and Argentina!
We were a group of 8 friends - 4 couples. The vans used for our private excursions were very good and spacious
All the ground arrangements were as planned … the guides were very good - their English and knowledge was amazing. They made sure we had a good time. The picnic lunches were served in great locations with fabulous views and setup with tables and table cloths!
We had 4 internal flights and the guides always made sure we were checked in with our luggage before they left us

“Far & Wild organised a four week visit to Laos and Vietnam. This was my first visit to this area and F&W were always quick to respond on the planning and any issues raised; the result was an excellent nicely paced trip covering many of the more 'interesting' areas and excluding some those more 'touristy'. The guides' walks/visits to some of the quieter rural areas and cities were one of the more memorable aspects of the trip. Overall, a visit full of different impressions to two very different neighbouring countries.”

“Tanzania – Our dream vacation
Given a 3-week timeframe for a Safari to Tanzania and a simple wish list for experiences, the team at Far and Wild Travel delivered the trip of a lifetime for our party of four. They planned every day to the fullest and hand selected the best guides/drivers to assure a superior trip.
Our lodging ranged from simple camping tents with cots to luxury tented camps and 5-star hotels. The staff at all locations were friendly and always asking if they could do anything else for us. The meals were prepared with fresh ingredients that were delicious, healthy and nutritious. After dinner, time was spent star gazing and enjoying the campfire.
The itinerary covered major national parks with animals, animals, animals. We trekked to important archeological sites, shopped at local village markets, learned about daily life and experienced important cultural moments with villagers. We hiked to a dramatic waterfall and were surprised by a champagne toast to celebrate the difficult trek. We climbed up rocks to view ancient drawings and afterward awed at our accomplishment.
This trip exceeded our expectation in every way. We will absolutely book another adventure with Far and Wild Travel.

“What can I say….my son and myself had the most wonderful time in Kenya thanks to the first class itinerary that Ben and Louise put together for us. We spoke with Ben many times to ensure he ‘got it right’. This was our 2nd visit to Kenya and it certainly lived up to our expectations and memories. We stayed in four locations, firstly to the wonderful El Karama Lodge, Laikipia Wildlife Conservancy where we even had a visit from Ruth from Far and Wild! Then onto, for a return visit, to Saruni Samburu which is absolutely stunning and still one our favourite places in the world. Next came Basecamp Mara Camp were we saw our first Cheetah, the only animal we didn’t see on our first visit. After that onto the wonderful Leopards Hill in the Naiboisho Conservancy, what a way to spend the last four days of this trip. Here we finally spent many hours with a beautiful leopard. Throughout our time in Kenya we saw many lions, giraffes, elephants, ostriches, hyenas, cheetahs, leopard to name just a few. Nothing was too much trouble for all the staff we cannot have been looked after any better. Since our return again Ben phoned to see how it went in addition to emails. I would highly recommend Far and Wild they are so knowledgeable and personally have visited the lodges and areas. We are already planning another visit and we cannot wait.”

“We went as a group of 4 adults and 4 children to Tanzania. It was the most incredible trip. The place and people were amazing. We visited Serengeti, Tarengire, Ngorongoro. I have to say we were hesitant about the camping/hiking part. Alistair promised it would be the best part and oh boy did he deliver. The organization of the trip was flawless. Would recommend the trip and Far and Wild anytime to anyone. The camp are well equipped. People very helpful. Most spoke English. Price included dinners and breakfast. Lunches most days as well. All considered for all we did very good cost/benefit.”

“Amanda at Far and Wild did an incredible job planning our trip to Costa Rica in Spring 2025. With relatively short notice, she pulled together an amazing itinerary for us and our small children. Amanda was super helpful talking with us (multiple times!), checking in with what we wanted, giving us advice from her many trips to the country, and finding ways to vary the trip to suit the needs of our four and two year old. Once we were there, the trip ran like clockwork: the transportation was always on time, clean, and professional. And the hotels were lovely - just the right balance of 'nice' but not overly fancy. Having the app on the trip was a godsend, as we could check in with what was coming up and give the on-the-ground team a call if we needed to vary timings because of our little ones. When we left 'rabbit' and 'doggy' half way across the country, the team got them back to us two days later. We'll definitely use Far and Wild again, and were just amazed by the brilliant trip they organised for us.”
