My heartfelt thanks to Ian the Door man at Fenwick Newcastle ,He went over and beyond his duty and I will never forget his kindness.
My Mother worked and loved this store 80 years ago ,She died age 103 and it would have been her birthday,we traveled from Devon and thought it fitting to have lunch in the place she loved so much .
Ian appeared from nowhere and on explaining he gave us a guided tour of the store.
