Roses: As someone who generally has a cooler house temperature, the kombucha fermentation mat was a great solution for boosting the temperature of my milk kefir. I appreciated that there are different methods to boost or reduce the heat. Wrapping it tightly around my jar was a bit TOO warm for my kefir, so having it loose with some space created just the right temp for my (billions) of new "friends" to thrive. (Now we just have to name them all.) 🤣
Thorns: If I had a small criticism, I would say that I almost passed on this at first because of the name, (thinking it was ONLY for kombucha.) ONLY when I luckily caught that "milk kefir" was included in the small product description I ended up purchasing it. It would have appealed to me faster with a more "inclusive" name, like "Fermentation/Brewing Heat Mat" covering more bases of what all this is able to heat!
Overall though, it's working great. Thanks Fermentaholics!
