I placed a large order for shopping bags and at the time I placed the order, everything showed up as "in stock". It wasn't until I received a partial shipment that I realized one item (which was a large part of my order) was out of stock. I called twice and was simply told, "Yes, that item is out of stock. We don't know when it will be back in stock." That was two weeks ago and I haven't heard anything since about the status. I understand that major supply chain issues are going on and that it can be just as frustrating for the supplier, but I would have appreciated an email notifying me that the item was out of stock. Several days later, when I went to the Fetpak website to determine if I could substitute another size bag, the bags I had ordered still showed up as "in stock". The part of the order that I received, arrived very quickly and was in perfect condition, so I am grateful for that.
