I tried to buy from shops but the ones I tried in the area I was on holiday in didn't have the quality I wanted. The women's sizes ended at 18 even on line. I bought a Berghaus XXL in stratus pants which are long for me at 5ft 4". I will put bands round if I need them. The Berghaus speed hydro jacket also XXL is ideal. A zip which opens at the bottom would help. Breathability is good. I have not tried waterproof quality yet but a friend is happy with his Berghaus jacket which is the same fabric as the pants.
