I have used Field and Trek several times before without any problem although delivery is not quick. This time however the service was exceptionally poor and I will think very carefully about using them again. I made an order for a sleeping bag and rucksack. I selected overnight delivery and paid the extra charge. Despite it leaving the warehouse on time it wasn't delivered the following day. The day after that it was still not showing as out for delivery so I contacted F&T using the only option open to customer - an online form! I got a generic response advising that the item had been dispatched. I called the yodel who advised that they have been given 3 days to get it delivered, but that they would contact the local office to see if they could get it out in the afternoon. I then tried submitting another online for to F&T. Yodel returned my call to say that they would get it out in the afternoon which was great, but then several hours later F&T replied to the form to say that they were sorry and that they'd cancelled the order and would provide a refund. I remain very unhappy about several things: 1) why offer next day delivery, take an extra fee and then give yodel three days to deliver. 2) if customers are so important, why not give them a means to speak to someone at F&T 3) if someone had called me I could have explained the up to date state of play. As it happened my daughter went off to scout camp without the correct kit and no one seems to care at F&T. Think very carefully before using this company.
