Avoid like everyone else is saying, I rented at alicante airport through do you spain, at the counter they blocked €1000, they also took a surcharge for refuelling of €31 and a full tank of €85, so €116, I was told to give the car back empty which I questioned but was assured to give it back empty or with fuel and I would be refunded for the fuel in the tank. I've since checked my credit card statement and there's no charge for €116, there is a charge for £193, for what I've no idea, must be for fuel but way more than €116. Do yourself a favour and avoid if you don't want scammed.
