“I confirm that this company is very bad.
They give a car with not full tank, and at a drop off they either charge for not full tank, or say that no reimbursement for added fuel is expected by the contract.
If you do not buy their insurance, you will be charged for damages, and it is not possible to mark all damages as car is usually in a quote bad condition (scratches are all over the body).
Do not want to have any deals with them anymore.”
“I would like to inform you with this email that you customer service representative who explained this sum in his own words was that this sum should be withheld until the rental period is over and refunded when the rental ends.
It is possible to lie on delivery and get a signature on delivery I have never heard of.
I have my wife and daughter who were with me and heard the conversation and can confirm it.
I clearly said that I have travel insurance that covers a car as well. But the sum of 223 euros was withheld according to their customer service representative as security and paid back at the time of submission.

“This company are an absolute joke! On arrival at Malaga airport we were told our insurance we booked through Ryan air with the car booking was not sufficient. They forced us into taking their own insurance out.
On returning the car we were told the petrol had to be filled up close to the airport, even though the tank was full ! They said they would either charge us 50€ or go and get filled and bring back a receipt. My partner then had to find a garage nearby to squeeze another 7€ into the tank! This made us very late for our flight.
Annoyingly another couple brought their car back at the same time and said they had no receipt for their petrol and the lady said ‘That’s fine, thank you’! Talk about making my blood boil !!!!
We will never go near this company again and would strongly advise people to stay clear!”
“Car was old and worn with many minor dings. Although there was no conversation regarding this matter, I was charged $650 above the contract price. The return documentation had several of these minor dings circled, that is clear in most cases are visible in the checkout photos. I took better photos when we picked the car up that show all the circled damages were there at the time we received the car. As requested by my credit card company, I am attempting to clear this up with the rental componer before submitting a fraud complaint.”

“The company Hertz operates in Spain under the name Firefly to conceal its reputation. Hertz is known for financially harming numerous customers, which has caused the company to lose many clients worldwide and increasingly hide behind other brands.
In my case, Hertz in Dubai repeatedly charged my credit card without providing a valid explanation or invoice. In Spain, I also didn’t know that Firefly was part of Hertz, and now I am experiencing the same issue again, with my credit card being charged multiple times for no apparent reason.
My advice: Stay away from Hertz – a company you cannot trust!”

“Worst experience ever. I found this company through Kayak and rented a car prepaid with full cover insurance. My flight was delay, I missed my connection flight and had to sleep at the connection airport, the whole time I was calling them to let them know about the situation which they told me it was no problem that whenever I find out my new arrival time to let them know... i did. When i arrived to the airport i went to the kiosk and they said they have a car ready for me, they took me on a shuttle to the rental place then the told me my reservation was cancelled for no-show and they couldn't do anything about it because i didn't reserved with them, it was prepaid and they only hold prepaid reservations for up to 2 hrs of reservation time. I had to call CS to get it validated then they told me they didnt have the type of car i reserved and gave me downgraded car because thats all they had when i saw plenty of cars but they said they where assigned for other reservations for later. I got treated as they were doing me a favor. When i got the car it feel like it was blowing hot air and i told them, then the air started working, i had waisted so much time arguing that i just wanted to get to my destination since i had and event that day at 4pm so i took the car and 15-20 min into my drive the air quit. i drove 2 hrs w/o ac in a 90 weather. Called them and they told me they will have a car at 5 pm, I explained my event was at 4 and i could not make it so they told me to go to the place at 8am the next morning that they will hold a car for me to pick up. I get there at 8 and they said they don't have anything for me and on their notes they have i was supposed to pick a replacement the day before between 1-5 and i didnt show up (lies, i was never told 1-5) so they will have something similar until 5 pm. I got call at 2 pm to pick up the replacement car. The car was so beat up, scratches all over the body, dents and damage. 2 microcracks on the windshield and no fuel cap. i took video and pics and used it w/o incidents. On the returned day i stopped to get gas then got to the facility, the guy asked if it was a different car i said yes. he said its all good, go to the side to wait on the shuttle. when i got to the airport i got and email with pics and marks saying i caused damage to the car. I tried to call CS but no answer. I had to open a ticket claim, they replied saying no damage charges were made (imagine if i didn't have pics to prove i didnt cause the damage. they would have charge me for a new car... BIG SCAM!!) but the charged me for gas they claimed i didn't returned the car with the gas i got it which is a lie! unfortunately i didn't take a pic of the gas when i parked the car. On top of the extra gas and time i wasted trying to exchange the fisrt car. i COULD NEVER GET IN TOUCH WITH ANYONE OVER THE PHONE IN CS TO COMPLAIN ABOUT THE WHOLE SISTUATION. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS COMPANY (HERTZ-DOLLAR-FIREFLY LOS CABOS)”
