I was scheduled to pick up my new vehicle and have my old vehicle collected on the same day, the 13th August 2024. Unfortunately things did not work out as planned and I had delivery of my new vehicle at about 1530 on the 13th! I had already had various e-mails from the finance company to say that my old vehicle would be collected the same day (13th). After various phone calls I was supposed to get a phone call from the pick up driver, this did not happen! The next morning I telephoned the collection company to be told that the soonest I could expect collection was Friday 16th; I was not very happy about this and I told the lady on the phone so! About an hour later I received a call to say that my old vehicle may be collected that day (14th). About another hour later I had a phone call from the collection driver to say the vehicle would be collected sometime that day. The vehicle was collected about 1530 that day, the 14th August 2024. My main concern was that I had travelled from Shetland, to exchange vehicles on the 13th August and I was returning on the 17th August. Both journeys involve a 12 hour overnight ferry crossing from Aberdeen. In the end all came to fruition but there was a lot of frantic phone calls.
