This trip was such a great introduction to Japan. We were able to visit some of the key Japanese cities and see all the main sites - it was very action packed and we walked (and eat) a lot. Our pack leader, Jupiter, was fantastic. He went above and beyond to make it a memorable experience. He took us to places outside of the itinerary, so we saw even more than we expected. His enthusiasm was infectious and we learned so much about Japan. Any tour would be lucky to have him as a pack leader! The only issue I had is that the hotel we stayed at in Tokyo (the Hotel Monterey Ginza) was really not up to the standard I was expecting. All the accommodation was great throughout the trip - except for that hotel. It didn't feel premium and wasn't the cleanest. The only advantage was the location.
