I had an old cassette tape from my tour of Europe in 1982, a prized cassette I was leery of handling over to anyone to be converted into a CD for fear the tape would be inadvertently ruined. I tried to do it myself with Audacity but the sound quality was iffy. Searching the net, I came across a company here in Chicago and also saw a Forever Ad with examples of restore, repair and transfers with glowing reviews, so with breath in hand, I took a chance and decided to sent it to Forever studios all the while, holding my breath that they do not ruin the tape. The CD came a week later and first, I am happy thy did NOT ruin the tape, and very happy with the CD where they divided the sound segments correctly with improved bass and treble enhancements. Now I am able to hear the individual instruments playing which I could not hear before with Audacity. I would say, Job well done, guys! And thank you for not ruining the tape.
