The woman I spoke to on the Devices helpline was brilliant. She talked me through the App installation ( you have an issue with the ‘username’ prompt; up to that point there isn’t one, so it should ask for you to create one) which then worked.
She checked the device I had ( I described it) and suggested I had another go at installing it, with some useful advice. It worked.
The email confirmation that it was installed came through within 10-15 minutes.
