I have had the freeze dried San Francisco and rye sourdough starters, which have worked well. Plus I’m on my third brew of ginger beer from the ginger bug kit. All the starters are on the go and in the fridge or some dried ginger bug is in a small container. I followed the instructions for each of the living cultures very carefully and all started to work in the timescale given.
