I have been unable to make my own sourdough starter so thought a ready-made one was worth a go. I bought the San Francisco starter and within a week was delighted to have delicious tangy sourdough. I like that the starter is more runny than some, as it doesn't grow lots so is easily contained. It's been fun using the small amount of discard in other recipes too. Great service from Freshly Fermented in these tricky times, and lots of useful information on their website.
