Having tried several times, without success, to make my own sourdough starter, I ordered the San Francisco sourdough starter from Freshly Fermented. It arrived the next day, securely packaged. I followed the instructions to activate the starter and it worked perfectly when I made my first sourdough loaf. The starter is easy to maintain and continues to bubble away vigorously.
