This purchase was my first visit to Freshly Fermented. I was looking specifically for buttermilk, to use in my baking. I had been using dried buttermilk powder, which I had purchased online, prior to lockdown. However, that was almost used and other sources of the powder, were totally sold out online. When I found Freshly Fermented, I found exactly what I wanted! We have had absolute success with the starter. It is producing lovely buttermilk, which is used for both baking and in the morning porridge. The taste of the items produced, has been amazing and we are extremely pleased. During my search, I was finding comments from cooks, wanting to know where they could find buttermilk, here in UK. Whilst used regularly in the USA, it is not so easily accessible here. This starter could be the solution for these cooks. We are very happy to support Freshly Fermented's buttermilk starter!
