If the Thic 40 could keep ice longer than a few hours i would give it a much higher review. I think it is thinner walled than my RTIC which will hold ice all day. In my new Thic 40 if I fill it completely full with cubed ice at 8 am. The ice is gone by 2:30.pm. I am adding either chilled watered or room temperature tea and it doesn't seem to matter as it melts about as fast with either one. Also, I have my mug indoors at work and it is a steady 68 degrees in here. I haven't had it long enough to travel with it but assume I would have to replenish ice quite often. I have not tried any hot beverages in it.
