I bought a repair kit to treat our lovely Ercol 'World's most comfortable chair' which had been spoiled by over enthusiastic cleaning (not by me). The arms had lost the semi-aniline pale beige dye and the dark leather was showing through underneath. The product was accurately matched by the Furniture Clinic and the results have been phenomenal - all the dark show-through has been hidden completely and other cat scratches have been satisfactorily treated as well. It's well worth taking plenty of time to prep the surface as I discovered when I had to very gently sand off my first attempt and try again...I put far too much on initially but the second attempt worked perfectly. I probably should have watched the video or have been more patient. This has saved me a fortune as I was considering having the chair re-upholstered so I wouldn't hesitate to recommend The Furniture Clinic's advice...I was a little sceptical but it's worked far better than I'd hoped.
