Our pensioner friend ordered a sofa over the phone and paid a £400 deposit. However due to their computer glitch she received no paperwork- just an order number.
Two days later she phoned to cancel the order. This was cancelled but she was told that she must forfeit her deposit as “is their usual terms..”
Nothing has been made or delivered so how can that be fair by any stretch of the imagination?
