Budget Insurance renewed my house insurance quote without letting me know. They sent a renewal quote to my email which was never received. I then checked my bank statements and to my dis pear found the whole amount for the cover had been automatically taken out of my account. I phoned up to say the quote was way too high and i did not want to continue with them. They then tried to charge me 30/35 for a cancellation fee? I argued this and the lady eventually went down to 15.00 but insisted I be charged. my partner has worked in insurance and knows that cancellation fees do not have to be charged and I was disgusted that this charge was taken and the whole policy amount was just taken.
