Been with this company a few yrs, renewal crept up quite a bit, did the usual online compare quotes, most were cheaper for the same cover, cancelled renewal with Budget, got a call asking why? Simple answer is, no value for customer loyalty, all insurance companies think like this nowadays, greedy over charging for policies, penny pinching at every opportunity. Tole them I'll be going elsewhere, so they offered a slightly lower renewal price, still more pricier than other quotes told them, I'm off, better deals elsewhere, so after a bit of bartering, they agreed to match my lowest quote. This shouldn't be the case, life's hard enough without extra grief at renewal time. If they wack up the renewal again, I'm defo going elsewhere. Buyers market as with any policy, always shop around folks, is my advice.
