Everything was great for the year I had home insurance and I never had to make a claim.
The renewal however was a different situation.
After doing a online comparison I wanted to see what could be done to match up the comparison and renewal. After asking just one question the 'helpful' operator stopped answering my questions, or indeed even speaking. They didn't place me on hold, (where I may have given them the benefit of the doubt) they just sat back and left me listening to the other operators in the background answering their own calls and questions.
20 minutes later I said 'excuse me' and I got a reply straight away asking if everything was ok. Funnily enough it was and I asked for any automatic renewal to be stopped with immediate affect. He did manage to do that.
Before anyone wonders why I held on waiting with no conversation, I was online taking out insurance with another company.
